I talked a bit on the podcast this week about the Mother 3 handbook designed and sold by the great folks over at Fangamer.net. The Mother series is one near and dear to my heart because it is one of the only series of RPGs I have ever played to completion. Earthbound (aka Mother 2) was released in the US but the other two games in the series never were. Mother 3 got a bunch of attention from enthusiasts and a giant project to translate the game was undertaken. The translation made it onto the internet in the last few months and Fangamer took it upon themselves to made a players guide for the game. I took the liberty of snapping some quick photos so those of you out there who love Earthbound as much as I do can check this out. The Fangamer guys did an amazing job of capturing the look and feel of the Earthbound players guide while still including a nice walkthrough of Mother 3. The craftsmanship is awesome and so is the writing and art included in this book. For preordering I also scored a Badge of Courage keychain. Click through to check out my pics.

The book! You can see that there is a nifty dust jacket on the handbook. It appears that the inside is a neat poster of the characters from the game.
