I just finished listening to your last three podcasts, so i'm a little surprised to see it's been that long and you just finished this. :)

Seriously, I hope ET is doing well and the baby is fine, and you, her and the podcast soon return.

Leah,

I think I know what happened, Jacob is a jealous sumofa....

It is in conversation with jacob that you find out if you are ready for the jump or not, and since you and him weren't exactly on talking terms either he didn't tel ou because Jacob is a jealous sumofa.... Or you were so done with his attitude that you neglected this vital member of your crew.

I'm going to guess the former... but only because I like you

Excellent write-up, Leah, and it's interesting to see the games from another perspective. The only thing I have to take issue with is part 4, the upgrades. In conversation with assorted characters, I felt it was made pretty clear that the Normandy was going to need some upgrades in order to increase the chances of survival in the suicide mission. Also, those three "required" upgrades don't even take an absurd amount of resources to add.

Just resolve to give yourself enough time to replay ME2 - or both of them - just before ME3 comes out, and you can fix that problem! ;)

Funny how just today, Edie at GameHounds mentioned ME2 as an example of how games grab her: "Run a team through a collapsing enemy ship ... in Mass Effect 2 and send off the woman you love to possibly die alone in an engineering shaft."

God, I love that game.
